Total Time 5 minutes mins
Equipment
- Blender
- Measuring Cups and Spoons
- Knife
- Cutting Board.
- Glass or shaker bottle for serving
Ingredients
- 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder whey or plant-based
- 1 ripe banana frozen for a creamier texture
- 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk or milk of your choice
- 1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon of natural peanut butter or almond butter optional, for extra creaminess and flavor
- 1 teaspoon of honey or maple syrup optional, for added sweetness
- Ice cubes optional, for a colder shake
Instructions
- Gather all the ingredients and a blender.
- Peel the ripe banana and break it into chunks. If you haven't already, freeze the banana chunks for at least an hour before making the shake. Freezing the banana adds creaminess to the shake without the need for additional ice.
- In the blender, add the frozen banana chunks, chocolate protein powder, unsweetened almond milk, unsweetened cocoa powder, and natural peanut butter or almond butter if using.
- Optionally, add a teaspoon of honey or maple syrup if you prefer a sweeter taste.
- If you like your shake extra cold, toss in a few ice cubes.
- Blend all the ingredients together until smooth and creamy. Depending on your blender, this usually takes around 30 seconds to a minute.
- Once the shake reaches your desired consistency, taste and adjust sweetness or thickness if needed. You can add more cocoa powder for a richer chocolate flavor or more almond milk if the shake is too thick.
- Pour the chocolate protein shake into a glass and enjoy immediately.
- Optionally, you can garnish your shake with a sprinkle of cocoa powder, a drizzle of peanut butter, or a few banana slices for presentation.
- Sip and savor the decadent goodness of your homemade Chocolate Protein Shake!
